Done:

Translators Station-identifying label creation

To be affixed.

New KUNC translator installation

To be done:

88.3 KUNC Output Bandpass Filter Installation

The filter is in place but is introducing a high SWR when it is connected.  Note that the KUNC FM translator itself is interfering with the Channel 4/8 TV translator video signal (fine herringbone pattern).

Channel 8, 10, and 12 TV translator relocation

107.9 KLDV Output Filter Installation

89.7 KUVO Output filter replacement

Deferred:

89.7 KUVO FCC power increase request

Possible replacement of KLDV omni-directional transmit antenna

94.3 KBCO Output Filter Installation

KUNC KU-band satellite downlink installation

            This may not be necessary.

Baldy Mt. Electronics Site Conditional Use Permit

A meeting was held with Brad LaRochelle of the Summit County planning Dept. at which time the revised map showing the New Head-end in relationship to the Jove Mine Claim was hand delivered.  The creation of a lease agreement between Summit County and SPR was discussed.  The permitting process will be reinitiated in September.  An amendment to the Conditional Use Permit application to include placement of the donated building-on-skids on the Jove mine claim near the New Head-end antenna support structure will be made at that time.

FM Translator Updates

88.3 KUNC/K202CV

This FM translator is functioning well using the new translator received from KUNC.  An output Bandpass filter is in place but is not hooked up because it introduces a high SWR when connected.  Note that the KUNC FM translator is involved in an interference problem with the Ch. 4/8 TV translator video signal (fine herringbone pattern).

89.3 KVOD/K207CK

This FM translator is functioning properly.

89.7 KUVO/K209ED

This translator is functioning well, using the digital audio stream available from the KUVO website and the MS MediaPlayer stream player.  The remote control, which failed in August, has been repaired by Jeff Kamis of MacCentric Computer Service.  The instability of the digital audio stream that feeds this translator continues to be an ongoing problem.  A working committee organized specifically to address this issue is most strongly recommended.

94.3 KBCO/DK232AC

This FM translator is functioning properly.

95.3 KTUN/K237BI

This FM translator is functioning properly.

107.1 KUNC/K296CL

This FM translator is functioning properly.

107.9 KLDV/K300AE

This FM translator is functioning well.  An output Bandpass filter has been received but is not yet hooked up.  Note that the KLDV translator is involved in an interference problem with the Ch. 4/8 TV translator video signal (fine herringbone pattern).

TV Translator Updates:

Channel 8 KCNC‑4/CBS/DK08MN

This translator is receiving interference from the KLDV and KUNC FM translators adversely affecting the TV picture quality.

Channel 10 KMGH‑7/ABC/DK10ON

This translator is functioning fairly well.

Channel 12 KUSA‑9/NBC/DK12PF

This translator is functioning properly.

Respectfully submitted,
Gary Peterson
