In Attendance: Sue Greene (presiding), Gary Peterson, John Roberts, Steve Smith, Marsha Cooper, Pat Spitzmiller, Terese Keil, Don Dettmering, Judy Noble, and Rob Waterman.
Minutes for the last (March 27, 2006) meeting had been e-mailed to the board and were approved as written.
I. OLD BUSINESS
A. FINANCE: Paul Finkel had e-mailed the latest bank balances, etc. to the Board and there were no comments at the meeting. There is little change from last month, we have about $91,190 in the bank.
B. MEMBERSHIP: Don Dettmering had e-mailed the membership data for the last 12 months. Since 15 September 2005 we have 22 new members and 276 renewing members. Don has expanded the summaries to include prior years.
C. BALDY CLEANUP: No plan changes since last month. Terese will put a note in the next Signal asking for e-mail addresses of those who plan to come so she can notify us if the event is canceled due to last-minute nasty weather.
D. PICNIC: The hikes will start at 9:00 AM. Eating will start about 11:00 AM. Small sandwiches will be obtained from Subway and salads will be prepared by the picnic committee.
E. WEBMASTER: Gary Peterson is our present web master. John Mirro has expressed interest in taking over the job and Sue Greene will contact John to see if this can be formalized.
F. BOARD MEETING DATES: There was considerable discussion about modifications to the meeting schedule Sue had e-mailed last year. Note that there will be a May meeting. The remaining meetings are: May 26th (Friday) 5:45 PM at County Commons June no meeting July 24th, location TBD August 28th at County Commons September 25th at County Commons - Envelope Stuffing Only October 23rd at " " November 27th at " "
G. ENGINEERING: Some of the issues with the Conditional Use Permit (mentioned last month) have been solved in that the County agrees we should not be held liable for any misdeeds of our tenants. KUNC will soon be moving their primary antenna from one Denver location to another. Tests have shown that we will not be able to get a reliable signal from this new location and a new method (probably satellite) of obtaining the audio will have to be implemented by them and us. Another method of obtaining the KUVO audio signal has been implemented in order to improve reliability and fidelity. We have put our digital encoder at the KUVO studio so that the audio can be sent digitally via high-speed internet to the Gibson Hill (Breckenridge) site for conversion from digital to audio and microwaved up to our Baldy transmitter. More engineering activity is available in Gary's handout.

OTHER DATES TO REMEMBER: 21 July (Baldy Event) and 5 August (Picnic).
