| Fred Lippman, Treasurer |
|
There can hardly be a more enthusiastic member of the board than Fred Lippman! He always has a broad smile and an energetic conversation waiting to happen. Fred and his wife, Marlene, have lived in Summit County full time for only one year, but have made many friends here in that short time. It was these friends who encouraged Fred to become an active member of Summit Public Radio, and he now serves as the organization’s Treasurer. Although Fred and Marlene have been full-time residents of Breckenridge for one year, they have been coming up to Summit County from Florida for twenty years for ski trips. During these twenty years, they fell in love with the mountains and the lifestyle here. Fred met Marlene on a blind date which was arranged by two grade-school friends in Philadelphia. Seven months later they were married. Fred received his B.S. Degree in Accounting from Temple University and for the next 44 years, he practiced as a CPA. For twenty five of those years he had his own accounting firm. Fred and Marlene made their home in Hollywood and Cooper City, Florida for 39 years before moving here. They have two children. Their daughter, Robin, who has three sons, lives in Cooper City, Florida and is a stay-at-home mom. Michael, their son, has one daughter, and lives in Cartersville, Georgia, where he is an I.T. executive. Besides visiting grandchildren, Fred and Marlene enjoy traveling. Recently they visited France and Italy. SPR is fortunate to have the experience and knowledge that Fred has brought to the board. Hopefully he will share his skills on the board for years to come.
